Affiliate Programs: How they help to make you money

To help you make money from a website that you may already have, you might consider joining an affiliate program.

If haven't got your own website yet, then you should contact a web designer with affiliate marketing experience.

An affiliate means you make money by advertising products or services from other merchants, by putting text links or banners on your site.

If a visitor to your website clicks on the banner, which will take them straight to the merchant's site and if they buy something then you'll make a commission on the sale.

Unfortunately you won't make a fortune just by placing a banner on your site that is unless you receive thousands of visitors a day to your site.

But just by putting to use a few simple techniques, even the smallest of websites could bring in a decent income.

A first priority would be to link yourself to a merchant whose goods would be bought by the type of visitors you get to your site there would be no point in advertising dog food when your website is about PC maintenance.

To begin with try looking at the 'Commission Junction', one of the best affiliate network directories on the net, it won't cost you a penny and nor will it if you link up with one of listed merchants.

The whole process is very straightforward and simple, you won't need any programming expertise to get going.

Advertising other peoples' products is a good way of earning an income via your site, all you're doing is pointing someone in the right direction and your responsibility ends there.

Money-making surveys

A good way to start is to figure out who you want to work for, there are a couple of ways to find the company that suits you.

Almost all survey companies, not all though, allow members to invite friends so if you receive an invitation from someone you know you can trust then there's no harm in going for it.

Secondly you could try the good old-fashioned Google search make money with surveys, but as is well known, Google searching usually leads to more confusion you are going to get a million and one hits if you simply search for "Online Surveys".

A much easier way to start is to go to www.surveypolice.com, it has a listing of all the major and legitimate companies, along with ratings and comments on each one

The following is a couple of the better online survey companies:

Inbox Dollars (www.inboxdollars.com) They pay $1 a survey for the one survey a day you're allowed they also have paid emails which isn't much but you are going to read your emails anyway aren't you?

My Survey - www.mysurvey.com - look like one of the best with points being awarded for each survey completed.

A 1000 points is equal to $10 but bonus points are given away all the time, so that racking up the points doesn't take that long.

Finally, remember you won't get rich with these online survey companies and there are a whole lot of online companies who are more than happy to take your money off you.

Make money from your blog

You may have quite strong feelings about trying to make money from your blog, it's common for some people to think it might be evil, lame or obnoxious then the best thing to do is not commercialise it at all.

But if monetizing your blog doesn't offend your sensibilities then go for it or if you think otherwise and you consider it evil, that's fine too.

But you have to be absolutely clear in your mind that you want to do it before you even begin, because attempting to generate earnings from your blog is hard enough without cold feet getting in the way and holding you back.

It ought to feel good making money from your blog, there's nothing wrong about having a healthy need to succeed.

If in your opinion your blog has real value then earning income from it should be no more than you deserve.

There's no way you can be in any way timid about the whole idea though, if you put ads on there, really put those ads in there it has to be the same if you're putting in requests for donations, do not be shy.

Some people might complain, they always do when you commercialise a free site.

But can you make a decent living online? Without a doubt. It will take longer if you have a day job but the opportunities exist.

Make Money Writing

One of the things i often mention in my blogs and articles, is ways of making money from something you enjoy doing.

The more you enjoy something, the more enthusiasm, and effort you will put in.

How to make money writing

Shall we have a little brainstorming session? It always awakens the mind and generates ideas.

Blogging - writing quality content and monetizing your blog.

Earn money writing greeting cards - Most card companies except freelance submissions.

Be a content writer - Become a freelance content writer, get paid for your research and keyword enriched articles.

Make money as a poet - not allot of money out there for poetry anymore, but there are still ways of making a profit. Have you considered building a poetry website, or even entering cash prize competitions. It all adds up!

Writing EBooks - write about anything and sell online. No printing or publishing costs.

Has the list made you think about your own ideas?

If you are wondering why I missed out writing a book, it is because it is the most obvious, I wanted to give you ideas you may not of already considered.

Whether you write poetry, fiction or self help, you can grab an audience both online and off line.
