Earn Money Writing Ebooks

What are Ebooks?
An ebook is like a virtual book, it is special files converted into a pdf document. They are easier to create than you think and can be made with adobe. Adobe can grab your word files and convert them into a pdf

How to write an Ebook
You can prepare your pages in word then use a pdf creator like adobe to turn your word files into a pdf document.

What should i write about
Anything, just like you would write a book about your favourite hobby, topic or event, do the same with an ebook. Try to come up with a niche if you want to make money

Earn Money selling Ebooks
To earn money is simple but patience is needed, you have 3 ways to sell your ebook

Online with your own website. You can create a site easily for around £30 per year this includes domain and web space. You then advertise your ebook for sale on your website using a checkout cart like paypal.

Sell your ebook on ebay. There are lots for sale on ebay so again if you come up with a niche then yours will sell well. Make sure your copyright info is included in the book though so nobody can resell it.

Get others to sell for you. There are websites offering to sell for a percentage, to be honest your best selling it yourself although it can be tricky. Advertising is the best way and if you choose to sell through your website here are some sites and tools that will help you

Get your website noticed

Get high search engine ranking

Earn Money Blogging Part 3

As we discussed in Make money blogging part 2 i would be using the example of a blogger blog when helping you to make money from writing blogs. Blogger or blogspot is a good free blog service because it is owned by Google and it requires very little set up and is search engine ready, which will increase your chances of getting higher search engine ranking, more about search engine traffic later.

How to set up a blog with Blogger

You will need to register for a new account and www.blogger.com

You will then be asked to select a blog name, try and include your main keyword in the domain for example if your blog is going to be about writing a book then try http://bookwritingtips.blogspot.com if this is taken try adding a dash like book-writing-tips.blogspot.com. I have recently done some research about whether or not adding your keywords in the URL (domain name)makes a difference to search engine ranking and i found it does not really but it does from a potential readers point of view and it could help you get more traffic. You can read more about blog domains how to get your blog noticed blog.

So you have set up an account with blogger and you have chosen your blogs name now for the blogger template select Minima Template.

You are now ready to post, there are some more settings you can go into to help you get more visibility but i will discuss these in a later Earn Money Blogging post.

Earn Money Writing Blogs Part 2

Earn Money Blogging Part 1 in case you missed it

Now onto Part 2 of how to Earn Money Writing Blogs
In part 1 we talked about how you can make money blogging by advertising ads or affiliate products on your blog. Products you think your customers maybe interested in, like i have done by advertising the book you see to the right. I used commission junction and copied my affiliate link. So when someone buys this book through my blog i get a bit of commission. This is the easy bit but what is more difficult is getting visitors to your blog, traffic is the most important thing to make sure you earn money from blogging.

There are two main leaders when it comes to free blogs, blogger and word press. Both have very good features. I would personally recommend blogger because it is all ready and set up to obtain high search engine ranking, providing you write keyword optimized posts, more on this in later posts. Blogger is owned by Google and it needs very little tweaking. In my next post i will show you how to set up a simple blog with blogger.

So to round up from part 1 and part to of how to earn money writing blogs we have established the following:

Earn Money Blogging

How can Blogging Make me Money?

I should start off by telling you how to set up a blog etc. how to start blogging and how to write posts however this is a blog about how you can earn money writing so i will jump straight in and tell you how you can make money blogging.

You can make money blogging by displaying ads or affiliate products.

Now that i have told you how you can monetize your blog let me dampen your anticipation a little and tell you to hold fire. Why, well because if you monetize your blog straight away when your blog is new then google will think you are spamming and you will get nowhere. You will not rank high in google, you will not get traffic and so you will not earn any money from your blogging efforts.

Patience is a virtue!

To earn money blogging you must first set up and most importantly establish your blog. More about this in my next article

In this blog i will look at all the ways you can earn money as a freelance writer. From poetry to magazine articles this blog will give you all the information to get you on the right track.

Earn money writing greeting cards

Can Writing greeting cards make your money?

To earn money writing greeting cards is pretty easy and a good way of earning a bit of extra money. There is a big market for verse writers as greeting cards and all the paraphernalia that comes with it is a lucrative market, this is because it is easier to express emotions through a gift and a written verse than it is to actually say how we feel. Also everyone no matter what religion has some form of celebration throughout the year which calls for a greeting card to be purchased.

Where can i get more information?

You can submit your verse for consideration to many greeting card publishers. If you do a Google search for greeting card publishers, look for the ones that except freelance submissions. Here is an email response from one greeting card company about its submission guidelines:

Blue Mountain Arts is interested in reviewing poetry and writings that
would be appropriate for our greeting cards.

1. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Contemporary prose or poetry written from
personal experience that reflects the thoughts and feelings people today
want to communicate to one another, but don’t always know how to put into
words. Because our cards capture genuine emotions on topics such as love,
friendship, family, missing you, and other real-life subjects, we suggest
that you have a friend, relative, or someone else in your life in mind as
you write. Writings on special occasions (birthday, anniversary,
congratulations, etc.) as well as the challenges, difficulties, and
aspirations of life are also considered. We are looking for new, original,
and creative writings that do not sound like anything we have already
published. The poem length does not matter, as long as it can fit on a
card. We publish both long and short pieces.

2. WHAT WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR: Rhymed poetry, religious verse, one-liners,
or humor. Try to avoid frequently overused words and phrases, such as
"special," "gift," "sending you a hug," "birthday wishes for you," and
"angel." We receive a large number of submissions about mothers, sons,
daughters, and love. For these themes, we only consider writings that are
refreshing and unique or that express age-old sentiments in new and
different ways. (Hint: Avoid lines like "You were always there for me," "I
remember when you were a baby," "I am so proud of you," and "You are my
dream come true.")

3. POSTAL SUBMISSIONS: Send to Blue Mountain Arts Editorial Department, P.
O. Box 1007, Boulder, CO 80306. Work should be typewritten; one poem per
page please. Your name should appear on every page. You may submit as many
poems at one time as you wish. If you would like a response and/or to have
your work returned, you must enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope of
adequate size, with the correct postage. Be sure to include your name,
address, and telephone number with your submission, and please keep us
informed of all address and telephone number changes. Include your e-mail
address if you wish to receive periodic e-mail updates of our current needs.

4. E-MAIL SUBMISSIONS: Send to editorial@sps.com. PLEASE DO NOT SEND
ATTACHMENTS OR WEBSITE LINKS. Type or paste the text of your work(s) into
the body of the e-mail. You may submit as many different works as you wish
in the same e-mail. Be sure to include your name, address, and telephone
number. E-mail submissions will receive a reply as receipt of your submission.

5. SUBMISSIONS SELECTED FOR FURTHER REVIEW will receive a response by
postal mail within 2 to 4 months. We are unable to respond to e-mail
submissions that are not chosen for further review, so if you do not hear
from us within 4 months, you can assume that your work is no longer under
consideration.

6. PAYMENT: We pay $300 per poem for the worldwide, exclusive rights to
publish it on a greeting card and other products, and $50 per poem for
one-time use in a book. Publication procedures will be explained in detail
prior to actually publishing your work.

7. QUESTIONS concerning your submission can be sent to Blue Mountain Arts
Editorial Department, P. O. Box 1007, Boulder, CO 80306, or you can e-mail
us at editorial@sps.com. Please do not telephone.

8. COPYRIGHT: Your work need not be copyrighted prior to submission. For
information on how to apply for a copyright, please contact the Library of
Congress, Copyright Office, 101 Independence Avenue S.E., Washington, DC 20559.

9. SUBMISSIONS FROM OUTSIDE THE U.S. are accepted, but only in the English
language.
